Scottish Teenage Book Prize 2019

Thursday 29th November 2018

Lasswade High School Library has been generously donated a class set of the three books nominated for the Scottish Teenage Book Prize 2019 by the Scottish Book Trust.

The three books, all by Scottish authors, are:

The Rise of Wolves by Kerr Thomson

The Extinction Trials by S.M. Wilson

Farewell Tour of a Terminal Optimist by John Young

As part of the First Minister’s Reading Challenge, S1 and S2 are firstly being given the opportunity to feed-back their first impressions of the three books in their library visits.

Following this, a book group will be set up that anyone from the school can join, read the three books and then take part in the vote for the prize in February.
