SQA Results Day Information for Students and Parents

Friday 2nd August 2019

SQA 2019 results day is Tuesday 6th August.  The following information may be of relevance to students/parents depending on individual results.

If you’ve received your results and you believe them to be both accurate and what you expected, then you need do nothing – enjoy the remainder of your holidays. However, if they’re not, then you should discuss this with a member of school staff.

I think one of my exam results is wrong, what do I do?

It is quite rare that an error occurs with an SQA result but, on occasion, it can happen. If you feel your result is incorrect you should get in touch with school. The SQA has two processes, as part of their post-results service, which can be used in these rare cases. See the Guidance Notes below for more information on this.

I think I need to change my course choices, what do I do?

Once you’ve received your results it is important to consider whether your choices for next year are still right for you. If you think you need to select a different subject or need to change your level you can contact the school for a re-coursing appointment. Staff in the School Office will be available to make appointments on Tuesday 6th August from 9.00am to 4.00pm.  Please note re-coursing appointments will be with a member of senior staff, who will look at your options with you.

Appointments will be available at the following times:

To prepare for this meeting, you should look at the courses on offer in our Senior Phase Prospectus.  See the link below to access information on our Senior Phase Curriculum Choices.

I would like to speak to speak to someone for advice, who can I contact?

If you need help or support with working out what your results mean for you and your future plans then contact the school. Your Student Support teacher or a member of our Skills Development Scotland Careers Service can help you. Alternatively, if you would like to speak with someone beyond school, you can call ‘My World of Work’s’ Exam Results Helpline, on 0808 100 8000, to get advice on what to do next. The free helpline from Scotland’s careers service offers advice, information and support when you’re not sure what your options are.

It will open on results day – Tuesday 6 August at 8am. The operating hours are notes below.
