Christmas Concert

Friday 22nd December 2017

The evening of Thursday 21st December witnessed our annual Christmas Concert.  Involving our Performing Arts students and staff the evening was a fabulous experience for our audience.  The evening began with a drama performance written by Maise Jack, S3.  A family based story that had the audience laughing and at times played with our emotions was an outstanding achievement with a brilliant cast bringing the script to life.

After being fed and watered by our Parent Council volunteers the audience were then superbly entertained by our music students, staff and visiting instructors.  The full range of musical genres was on display; Concert Band, Ceilidh Group, Voice (group and solo), Guitar Group, Cello & Violin Ensemble and Percussion Ensemble.  The S6 Music students then took over was a Christmas based extravaganza.

This time of year is exceptionally busy for our Performing Arts students and staff with demands on their time and talents being called upon from many areas.  In these circumstances the quality of the evening was truly remarkable with our thanks to one and all.
