Paradykes PS Official Opening

Friday 5th October 2018

Lasswade HS was delighted to accept an invitation to the official opening of Paradykes PS this week.  Two former P7 House Captains at Paradykes; Ryan Laidlaw and Georgia Threlfell, both S1 students, accompanied Mr Hornell to this event.  The school was officially opened by Mr John Swinney, Deputy First Minister and Cabinet Secretary for Education and Skills with excellent speeches by Mr Swinney, Mr Wallace (Paradykes HT) and Councillor Muirhead of Midlothian Council.

The highlight undoubtedly was the brilliant Paradykes Choir.  Well done to them.

Our links with our associated primary schools are so important and we are grateful for the invitation and delighted to support such a special day in the history of the school.
