Police Scotland: Domestic Abuse

Wednesday 20th May 2020

Our partners in Police Scotland have asked us to share information in relation to incidents of domestic abuse.  These have increased during the period of lockdown.  Police Scotland are seeking the support of all schools in ensuring that anyone experiencing any form of domestic abuse is aware of how they can get help.

Domestic abuse is any form of physical, sexual, mental or emotional abuse and takes place within the context of a relationship, either current or past.  If you, or anyone else you know, is experiencing any of the above, or being intimidated or threatened by a current or previous partner, it is Domestic Abuse.

Don’t delay in seeking help during the current coronavirus restrictions.
