S1 Welcome Evening

Thursday 12th September 2019

The school was pleased to see many of our new S1 parents/carers at our Welcome Evening on Thursday 12th September. This event is the culmination of the primary/secondary transition for our new students. This year our S1 roll sits at 288 students with their Year Head, Ms Struthers DHT, delighted to report to the attendees a positive transition and students who have settled in well to school.

Thereafter parents/carers split into House Groups and with the support of our House Captains visited 4 different ‘aspects’ of the school for around 15 minutes per visit. The 4 themes visited were

These sessions allowed parents to hear about our work with S1 in these areas and afforded an opportunity to ask questions.
