School Recovery 1: A safe return in August 2020

Friday 12th June 2020

Following the release of Scottish Government guidelines the school has been working on plans for our return to school in August.  We are working across a number of areas to complete our School Recovery Plan; however,  initially our number one priority has been planning to ensure we comply with public health advice to secure a safe return to school.

In this post we will share our thinking around the practical measures we are taking to ensure staff and students return safely.  In our planning and actions we are aiming to balance the health risks of a return to school against the harms for our students who are missing their full educational experience.

Please note that everything outlined below is subject to change and dependent on Scottish Government guidance.

Key features of a Safe Return to School are highlighted below, these are the themes we are working on

A series of practical measures will be put in place for August,  please note that the following measures are not an exhaustive list of everything we will implement
