Lasswade High School was involved in celebrating Scottish Book Week this week with a wide programme of events and fun activities for students to take part in.
Pictured are just a handful of the vibrant and eye-catching doors showcasing famous book covers as students worked together with their classroom teachers to celebrate all things literary.
Departments such as English, Creative Learning and even the School Office took part in designing their doors.
During registration, activities such as listening to audio-books, teachers reading to classes and personal reading time were enjoyed by staff and students alike. The catchy ‘Drop Everything and Read,’ initiative also worked out well.
The library also had copies of ‘Rebel,’ this year’s Scottish Book Week free book which has proven very popular.
All in all, a great celebration of all things written word!
