Student Voice

Student Voice at Lasswade High School is an opportunity for our young people to have their thoughts and opinions heard, and acted upon,  by members of staff. Student Voice allows learners to have a say in how our school is run, with the aim of leaving the school in a better position for later generations attending. We encourage students to voice their opinion but also feel confident in putting their ideas forward to our Senior Leadership Team to help promote positive change.

Student Voice runs by having two Year Group Student Councils per term, where students form specific year groups discuss issues that may affect their year group only, or the wider school. A Student Parliament runs every term where two representatives from each year group attend along with two representatives from our Senior Leadership Team. This allows different year groups to meet each other as well as discuss matters with the Senior Leadership Team directly. Any student who would like to get involved with Student Voice can speak to Mr Bain and Ms Atkinson in our Social Studies Team.
