As a school, we continue to follow Local Authority, Government and Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) advice, which means that the trips listed below, will not run. We are working with all travel companies and the local authority to be able to recover and reimburse families for cancelled trips, as fast as possible. Insurance claims have been submitted on behalf of families.
France Water Sports Trip (May 2020)
In total, this trip cost £615.00 per student. Although almost all families have paid the full amount of the trip, only the deposit of £125.00 per pupil was paid to Voyager School Travel. All remaining payments sit safely in the school account.
We have completed the necessary insurance paperwork to reclaim the deposit payment for all families. In the coming weeks, we will be contacting you to arrange your refund for the remaining amount.
For example, if you have paid the full amount, you will receive a refund of £490.00 from the school account. At a later date, you will then receive a further £125.00 from the insurance claim.
Ecuador World Challenge Trip (June/July 2020)
In total, this trip cost £3,500.00 per student. Due to the nature of the trip and the long-term planning involved, World Challenge require families to pay directly through your individual online profile. On Wednesday 22nd April, World Challenge confirmed that the trip would be cancelled and that they would be contacting families directly to discuss refund options. Please check your online profile and email account for their communications.
World Challenge are offering families two options:
As a school, we cannot guarantee that another expedition will be taking place in 2021, so we therefore recommend that you choose option 2, a full cash refund.
World Challenge require time to recover costs with companies and work with their insurer, so they cannot make any refund before 31st July 2020.

China Trip (October 2020)
This trip was part funded by CISS (accommodation, transport in China, food, activities etc.), apart from the costs of the return flights and visa. Flights and visas were not booked so all payments made by families still sit safely in the school account. In the coming weeks, we will be contacting you to arrange your full refund.
