Voulunteering Award

Tuesday 26th November 2019

Congratulations to Courtney Simpson in S6 who has recently been awarded The Amy Allan Young Volunteer of the Year Award.  Courtney is a trained First Aider and has been volunteering for 13 years.  She currently teaches First Aid on a Wednesday evening and is a regular volunteer at local sporting events at the weekend.

In terms of her latest award Courtney was informed she was nominated and was asked to attend the ceremony held at the Hilton Hotel, through in Glasgow,  on Friday 15th November.  This award, which covers the entire country, is a new award and Courtney is the first recipient.

A delighted Cortney said, ‘I am pleased and proud to win this award, however, for me what I enjoy most is the opportunity to help others,  and now train others,  to carry out this role.’

Congratulations and well done Courtney.
