S4 parents night went well online. I had logged in on time for the booking system and by 7.01 there were no English or Maths slots available for booking. They had gone in less than a minute. Given the importance of these subjects I was disappointed to not hear from the teachers directly on these. It seems that there can’t possibly be enough spaces to accommodate everyone if they go in less than 60 seconds – can we look at this and having more given most students do these subjects? However I emailed student support and the lovely Mrs Sharp supported in getting us an email summary from the teachers, many thanks to Mrs Sharp

Each year we try to improve our Parents’ Evening offer.  This involves negotiations with staff around the number and length of appointments to maximise the number available.  We’ll do that again for next session.

In terms of English and Maths appointments our data shows that it can depend upon the class and sometimes if the teacher has more that one class in the year group.  It does appear that your son’s Maths teacher has two S4 classes.  That does make things very challenging.
