| Where will pupils in other years beyond S1 be able to find out about extra curricular clubs? Will list be posted on website/ Google Classroom? My son is very keen on Badminton club. Thanks. | Yes, the programme is shared with S1 on Wednesday and thereafter with year groups as you describe. I’ve not actually seen it yet so cannot confirm if badminton is on offer. I’ll also highlight in my next HT Update. |
| I think looking at the mobile phone policy is a great idea. My daughter has started S1 and previously wasn’t bothered about her phone. It sat for days and days without charge. Now her phone usage has increased massively. She said everyone at break and lunch just sit on their mobile phones. No one chats. So she’s found herself playing games on it due to boredom. It’s difficult coming from primary where you can still play actively at break time into an environment where mobile phone usage is the new play time. She has said several times that it’s a shame it’s not like primary where they get their phone back to the end of the day. She takes her phone for peace of mind walking home. But I think is struggling that the majority just want to scroll social media at lunch than chat with each other. | Thanks for taking the time to contact me. Your experience isn’t unique.
