This concise weekly HT Update is generally published every Friday afternoon. It’s a simple opportunity for you to also feedback/ask questions via the link at the bottom of each Update.  Feedback received, due to the holiday and where appropriate, will be responded to and published on the afternoon of Monday 6th January on the school website.  

Key messages from this week  

Calendar:  Significant events week beginning 06/01/25;  on Monday it’s our In-service Day,  a staff only day;  on Tuesday we’ll welcome back our students with Year Group Assemblies for all years, except s4,  our Assessment Window 2 opens, and also we begin the S3 Course Choice process with our current S2 students; on Thursday we’ll hold our S4 Year Assembly.    

Staffing:  We’re all knackered!  Don’t worry, we’ll rest up and be ready to go in 2025. 

Thank You: Your support as parents/carers of your children, our students, is so important to us as a school.  I hope you and yours have a great Christmas and all the best for 2025.   

Mission Christmas: A massive thank you to everyone who supported the food and gift drive, your donations really did make a difference to our supports for Lasswade families. The final deliveries were made on Thursday morning.

School Panto: On Wednesday and Thursday our school panto, Over the Rainbow, played to sell-out audiences.  As we knew, the students involved in the cast were phenomenal.  These students all came from our S1/2/3 Year Groups and were outstanding.  They were supported magnificently by senior students and staff.  Particular mention to Miss Brown and Miss McKenzie.
