Modern Languages in S3 is optional with students having the option of selecting a combination of courses in French, German (from session 2019/2020) and Mandarin.
S3 French aims to build on the vocabulary, grammar and knowledge acquired in S1 and S2 and ensure that students have the foundation in place to proceed to preparation for success at National 5 at the end of S4.
Homework is regular and assessment is at key points in the year.
Students at Lasswade High School can expect to have the opportunity to visit France as part of an educational visit.
