Change of Timetable: Tuesday 24th May
Wednesday 18th May 2022
Our new timetable will begin on Tuesday 24th May. Students moving into S2, S3 and S4 will be given a paper copy of their new timetable later this week during one of their Maths periods. New S4-S6 students will get their new timetables when they return from exam leave on Tuesday 31st May with further details on how these will be distributed to follow.
Any final change of course requests for new S4 students must be made by 10am on Friday 20th May. This is necessary to allow us to make sure timetables and registers are accurate for the start of our new timetable. Any requests made will be looked at and, where possible and appropriate, changes will continue to be made until the end of the day on Friday. This will not affect any students moving into S2 or S3 but may affect some students moving into the Senior Phase.
For these students it’s important that they check in with their Student Support teacher to find out about any updates. In the meantime, students should follow the timetable they receive this week when they return to school on Tuesday 24th May or which they receive when they return from exam leave. That way we will know where to find individuals to update them about any changes made and to reissue an updated timetable. Staff are aware this may be the case and it is usual for there to be a ‘settling in’ period following a change of timetable.
New S4-S6 Students who have applied to Edinburgh College for a School/College Partnership Course must make sure they accept any offers as a matter of urgency (these can go into ‘junk’ email folders too, so please check that). Ms Mitchell will meet with all of these students next week (if they are new S4), or immediately after the exam leave finishes, to finalise timetables and remove students from subjects which will be replaced with their college courses in Column D. There will be further information from Edinburgh College regarding introduction and taster sessions in due course.
Any queries related to coursing or timetables should be directed to Student Support staff in the first instance.
