DRESS DOWN DAY 26/09/2025 – Beatson Cancer Charity

Wednesday 17th September 2025

FRIDAY 26th SEPTEMBER – DRESS DOWN DAY!

This month’s dress down day is in support of Beatson Cancer Charity.
We’d like to share details of a charity fundraising event being organised by our former Maths teacher, Mr Scott, who taught at Lasswade High School 2022-2023 before he moved to Falkirk to continue his teaching career. Those of us that knew him will remember his dedication, inclusive nature and positive attitude. Whilst some of our newer team members may not know him personally, we wanted to highlight his story and the great cause he is supporting.

In summer 2024, Mr Scott received the shocking diagnosis of a rare type of bone cancer. Since then, he has gone through 12 challenging months of treatment and also endured major surgery. Mr Scott is for now clear of cancer following a life changing operation. During his treatment and operation, he received invaluable support from the Beatson Cancer Charity. To give back, he is now hosting a fundraising event to help the charity continue its important work.

We would like to support Mr Scott with his fundraising initiative for Beatson Cancer Charity. Please remember to dress appropriately and sensibly on Friday 26th September and donate whatever you can (in person or via ParentPay).
