Exams, Study Leave and Study Support

Exam Timetable

Qualifications Scotland have published this year’s final exam timetable. Before the Easter holidays students will be issued with their individualised exam timetables. Please note, that in many cases we alter the start times of exams to 8:40am in the morning, or to slightly earlier in the afternoon, this is to fit with the school bus times.

Study Leave

Study leave will run from Monday 27th April – Friday 29th May (inclusive). Students will return to school on Monday 1st June. Students who have exams on 22nd, 23rd or 24th April will be permitted one day of study immediately ahead of their exam. More information on this is detailed in the letter shared with parents/ carers this week.

2026 Exam Support

Over the next few weeks additional details will be published by Qualifications Scotland about the Appeals process and Your Exams, a student friendly guide to exams, will also be released online.

If students have queries or questions about their exams, they should speak with Ms Struthers in Rm 112. If the query relates more to their assessment arrangements then they should speak with Mr Hunter in Creative Learning.

Easter School and Study Supports

Our Easter School will begin on Tuesday 7th April, offering students the opportunity to access revision sessions over the holiday period. Students can register their interest for these sessions via their Year Group Google Classroom. Sign up opens on Monday 23rd March at 4pm and closes on Friday 27th March. Places will be confirmed thereafter.

Until Easter – students can continue accessing a wide range of after school study sessions – the most up-to-date timetable is attached for you here.

Online/ At home Supports

E-Sgoil are also running a virtual Easter School from 6th – 10th April. This covers a wide range of subjects and can be used in addition to, or instead of, the Lasswade Easter School. See the link below for their timetable and sign-up instructions. You do need your GLOW account to login, so see Mrs Ward in Computing or Ms Wallerstein in Science if you need to refresh this.

Achieve is excellent another online revision resource which supports knowledge and skills development across many subjects. This provides the opportunity to learn, test and track progress. In addition, this website has a new section this year called ‘Succeed’ which can support with revision strategies, such as how to prepare flash cards, etc. If making an account for the first time our school code is: Zx7tGreK
