Face Coverings – Update

Friday 6th May 2022

The legal requirement to wear a face covering in most indoor places has now been replaced with general safety guidance encouraging people to wear face coverings in busy/crowded places.

From Monday 9th May face coverings will no longer be mandatory for staff and students in Lasswade High School.  Any individual who wishes to continue wearing a face covering in school will be supported to do so and we still encourage their use in pinch-point crowded areas with poor ventilation where distancing is a challenge or when in busy places like year group assemblies.

Whilst we will no longer be proactively handing out face coverings on a daily basis there will be a supply of coverings in classrooms and at the student reception for those who wish to continue wearing one.
