Google Classrooms – Update and Support

Tuesday 7th September 2021

Currently we are migrating to new Google Classrooms, as part of Midlothian’s move to Google Workspace. This is an exciting move as it will allow our school community to access more of Google Education’s functions and features.

Over the course of this week, students will be given new classroom codes by their teachers, or they will be added to new classrooms. Year group Google Classrooms are already set up and all students in each group have been invited to join these.

Logging into the new classrooms is very easy – but you don’t need your GLOW password. You’ll use your school network password instead. We have attached a video for you, and a ‘How to login’ guide to help you with this.

We expect that all students should be added able to use all of their new classrooms by Monday 13th September. All staff have been reminded to add any students who are currently absent or self-isolating.
