School Closure Friday 24th January 2025

All Midlothian schools and nurseries, including Lasswade HS, will be closed on Friday 24th January 2025 due to the Met Office Red Weather Warning, click here.

We expect to be open as normal on Monday 27th January 2025.

All school staff will be home working tomorrow.

We have advised students this afternoon and posted details on Year Group Classrooms.  In effect

• All students will be expected to access to their Chromebook

• Students should follow their normal Friday timetable and visit the relevant Google Classroom;   teachers will have posted work and be available, at each period,  to respond to questions via the Google Classroom Stream or the Private Message facility (the exception will be teachers who are absent from work)

• For those Senior Phase students due to sit an assessment tomorrow we expect that these will be rescheduled for next Friday, 31st January.  This will be confirmed early next week by classroom teachers

The catering team will provide information about the arrangements for those eligible for free school meals in due course.
