School Uniform

We would like to thank all parents/carers for their continued support with ensuring students are wearing appropriate school uniform.  We have been impressed by how smart students have been looking since we returned.
One area that has not been so positive is adherence to our rules around school shoes.  A reminder that it is our expectation that students wear all black shoes/trainers.  There should be no other colours on the shoes.
Over the next few weeks we will be taking the following steps to try and improve this:
  1. Our student support teachers will remind students of our expectations during PSE classes and also remind students how to access the Lasswade Wardrobe.
  2. Our Senior Leadership team will carry out a uniform sweep focusing on shoes and alert you if your child is wearing inappropriate footwear.
  3. A message will be posted on the year group student Google classrooms to ensure students are clear about our expectations.
Additionally, any student not in full uniform, as outlined in the school uniform policy will be referred to student support who will make contact with home and seek agreement for one of the following outcomes:
  • Uniform to be brought to school by parent/carer
  • Student to be allowed home to change (S4-6 only)
  • Student will be allowed to borrow from our school supply.
Finally, please be aware our new initiative called the Lasswade Wardrobe is now up and running. This allows families free access to all aspects of school uniform including shoes.  Please contact your child’s student support teacher for more information.
