School Uniform Update

Monday 12th October 2020

Prior to our return in August we updated parents/carers on our expectations for our August return.  The key points in terms of school uniform were in effect

Our only change to the above is that we will now have to extend the October Break deadline until Christmas.   We are encouraging as much uniform compliance as possible but are acknowledging the Covid-19 situation we find ourselves in.

During the course of this term we have have been expecting greater use of our PE changing rooms.   However, Education Scotland advice is still discouraging this and it will take us some time through October and November to put in place mitigations to ensure their safe use by all.   When changing rooms are fully in use this will allow students to attend wearing their school uniform and change into PE kit.

For those still requiring a blazer, we have switched uniform supplier and will now be using Academy Uniforms Ltd. To place an order for a Lasswade blazer, please click here to access the Lasswade section of the website.

Click here to access the Academy Uniforms sizing guide and video demo which should be helpful when deciding which size of blazer to order for your child.

The Lasswade ‘Uniform Swap Shop’ is being launched by our S5 and S6 Leadership students at the end of October. The Swap Shop aims to promote equity for all students, develop our culture of recycling and support families.

We will be welcoming donations of school uniform, PE kit and school materials (new and used) by students, families and the public (more information to follow). We also work in partnership with the Bonnyrigg Community Trust who are also collecting donations on behalf of Lasswade High School.

As ever, Student Support continue to work closely with students and families, so please do not hesitate to get in touch should your child need support with uniform, PE kit or school materials.
