Update to Parents/Carers

We would like to advise all parents/carers that we are still facing significant staffing issues due to high levels of absence.  We are once again employing a range of strategies in order to alleviate some of the challenges faced.  For example:

• Members of SLT will continue to teach as range of classes in a similar way to previous weeks.
• We will maximise the use of our 1 to 1 devices where appropriate.
• We will utilise the space we have in school to have larger groups of students together, whilst adhering to all Covid-19 regulations.
• Almost all S1 Students will move to ‘At Home Learning’ on Thursday 24th March.

Additionally our S5/6 students, who will complete their study period and PSE classes at home tomorrow (Wednesday 23rd March) between 1:45pm and 3:25pm.

Please note this does not apply to any students who are involved in the following:

• SQA Practical Assessments
• Any ‘mop-up’ assessments that have been arranged
• Pre-arranged coursing interviews

These will still go ahead as planned.

Should the staffing situation deteriorate any further we will of course update you of our plans as soon as possible.
