Columba 1400 Community Project News

Wednesday 5th December 2018

As part of their ongoing Community Project, the Columba 1400 students have been participating in a wide variety of in-school activities that illustrate their creativity, critical thinking, collaboration and communication skills.

Firstly, in order to show their gratitude to the Columba staff who worked with them for a week in Staffin, Skye earlier this year, the students wrote a series of messages and did picture postcards for the centre staff, which were mailed this week.

Then, as part of their research into other Community Projects happening in Midlothian, the group produced a series of Christmas Cards to recognise the important contribution being made in the local community by some of these projects.

It is also hoped that the group will be involved in some way in the sorting and packing of the school’s Food Bank donations. The group will also present an assembly to S1 this Friday to talk about their experiences so far.

Well done everyone for your continued efforts.
