Blazer Fitting and Ordering Information

We will be holding a blazer fitting session for S2-6 students on Friday 24th June during school.  Students will be called by tannoy to the Assembly Hall and should attend if they require a new blazer.  A payment has been added to Parentpay for all students, if you require a blazer please make the payment and we will match it up against the size once the students have been fitted.

If your child is not available for fitting on Friday 24th June, you can measure them at home using the guide here.  Once you know the size please email lasswadehsoffice@midlothian.education to confirm and then make the payment on Parentpay.  Deadline for payments is Monday 27th June.  If you require Parentpay activation details please also email lasswadehsoffice@midlothian.eduation to request this.

Blazers will be delivered to school towards the end of the summer break and collection dates and times will be communicated when they are ready for collection.

As part of our House system all students will be expected to wear a House tie which can be purchased at a cost of £5, this is also available to purchase on Parentpay.

Our School Uniform plays an important part in our school ethos. It is visible evidence of equality, sets a tone of rigour towards learning and portrays a positive image of the school to our community and visitors alike.

In school the expectation is that when all students are in public spaces, e.g., in corridors between classes, in the Social Area at Interval or Lunch, they should be wearing their blazer. Students are allowed to remove their blazer in class. For session 2022-2023, following previous consultation and agreement through the Parent Council all students are expected to wear our LHS blazer.  This expectation was suspended temporarily for sessions 19/20, 20/21 and 21/22.

Please note that, in order to help reduce the cost to families we have taken the decision to part fund the blazers so that they will only cost £30 regardless of what year group students are in.  We also no longer require Senior Phase students to buy blazers with braiding.  However, anyone who still owns a blazer with braiding will be permitted to carry on wearing it.

As the school is part funding the cost of blazers this year they will be purchased through the school not directly with Academy/Stevenson’s.  If you purchase directly from Academy Uniforms/Stevenson’s you will be charged the full cost.
