Blended Learning – Thursday 24th March

Tuesday 22nd March 2022

It is with regret that we are confirming we have secured agreement with Midlothian Council to move almost all S1 students to ‘At-home Learning’ on Thursday 24th March.  As stated in previous communications we are advising parents/carers as early as possible to allow them to plan arrangements around childcare.  As all S1 students have been issued with Chromebooks we are confident their learning can continue at home.  Work will be set via Google Classrooms.

All S2, S3 and Senior Phase students should attend school as normal on Thursday.
This action is necessary as we are experiencing an exceptionally high level of staff absence which is impacting on our ability to safely cover all classes.  Additionally, our S3 students are going through course choice interviews this week which had an influence on our decision making process for which year group move to ‘At Home Learning.’
Staffing levels remain ‘fluid’ and this is the reason we are only confirming things one day at a time. We will continue to monitor our staffing levels closely and post any updates required in as timely a manner as possible.
