We are finally seeing the light at the end of the tunnel after what has been a difficult year with lots of ups and downs. We are incredibly proud of how our pupils and staff have faced the challenges we have encountered over the course of this year. Everyone has done an amazing job at staying positive, some people have consistently gone the extra mile to be positive, supportive to others and kind and we want to recognise this.
In May 2021, we will be presenting the Lasswade Lockdown Heroes Awards. The awards are going to recognise all the fantastic things that have been happening during the past 12 months and two lockdowns.
There are four award categories. For each category we hope to hand out 4-10 awards. The awards will be decided based on a nomination process. We are asking pupils, staff, parents/carers and members of the community to nominate anyone they think deserves one of the four awards:
LHS Community Positivity Award
Pupil Role Model
Inspirational Staff Member

Return to School: Public Health Mitigations
As you are probably aware the First Minister confirmed on Tuesday 6th April that following the Easter Break all students are expected to return on a full-time basis.

Covid-19 Asymptomatic Testing for Broad General Education Students
Please note that the main parent/guardian school contact for all S1/S2/S3 students will have been emailed today with information regarding how their son/daughter can take up the offer of at-home Covid-19 testing.
