Thursday 20th January 2022
Unfortunately, due to a burst water pipe affecting our area our water supply has been interrupted. We have been advised that it will be mid afternoon before supplies are restored. This means that our water tanks, which replenish overnight, are being drained with normal usage. As a water supply is necessary for toilets and our heating system we have no alternative but to close the school today at the end of period three/Senior Phase Interval, i.e., 11.15am. The school will continue as normal until that time.
We are working with Midlothian Transport to secure school transport arriving as close to 11.15am/11.30am as possible. Students who can walk home should walk home assuming their parents/carers are confident they can safely access their house. We will have a ‘waiting’ facility for those who cannot go home until collected. This facility will be available until 1.00pm.
Work will be available for students on their Google Classrooms.
We expect to be open tomorrow as normal and will update parents/carers through our normal communication channels.

Face Coverings – Update
The legal requirement to wear a face covering in most indoor places has now been replaced with general safety guidance encouraging people to wear face masks in busy/crowded places.
