As you may be aware, there have been a number of staffing changes in our Student Support team as several members of staff have taken up new posts or gone on maternity leave. Extensive work has been done to ensure a smooth transition for all students.
In our Creative Learning team, we are delighted for Mrs Sarah Fleming who has been appointed as Acting Depute Head Teacher replacing Mrs Caroline Brown who is now on maternity leave. Mr David Hunter replaces Mrs Fleming as Acting PTC ASN & Inclusion and is joined by Mrs Lisa Paton who has taken up the post of Acting PT, ASN for our S1-S3 students.
In Melville House, students continue to be supported by Mr Jamie McQueen and Mrs Emma Haynes. Mrs Haynes is in post until Mrs Jill McLaren returns from maternity leave.
In Mount Esk House, we are delighted for Mr Craig Dewar who gone on secondment as Acting Depute Head Teacher to Penicuik High School until June 2022. Miss Katie McDonald replaces him as PT Tracking & Monitoring in Mount Esk House, working alongside Miss Sarah McKay. Miss McKay will be in post until Mrs Karen Hughes returns from maternity leave. Mrs Fleming and Mrs Yule are taking an enhanced role in supporting students in Mount Esk this session.
In St Anne’s House, students continue to be supported by Miss Hazel Moar (Monday – Wednesday) and Mrs Sarah Wilkins. Miss Daisy Forbes has taken up a Development Post in St Anne’s, offering pastoral support to students in 1SA3, 2SA1 and 2SA3.
In St Leonard’s House, students continue to be supported by Mrs Claire Main and Mr Ryan Charters. Mr Charters is in post until Mrs Shaunie Sharp returns from maternity leave. Mrs Michelle Cryne replaces Mrs Amy McCormack as our Student Care and Welfare Officer in St Leonard’s house while Mrs McCormack is on maternity leave.
