Skills Development Scotland (SDS) School Careers Advisors

Our Careers Advisors work in school during the week. They work with students in all year groups and support at key times such as transitions between year groups, course choice time and preparing to leave school at the end of either S4, S5 or S6. Feel free to contact them via email to request information or an appointment at any time. You can find out more about the services provided by SDS here.

Developing the Young Workforce (DYW) Coordinator

Caroline Rosie is our school DYW coordinator.  She works closely with school staff and SDS colleagues to help plan, prepare and deliver whole school and bespoke opportunities that help students understand more about the world of work, the range of industries and sectors that are available to them and shares the most up-to-date information about the labour market.  This information can be used to help plan our curriculum and best support the needs of our students.  You can find out more about the DYW National agenda here.

Scottish Credit & Qualifications Framework (SCQF)

We are proud to offer a wide range of courses here at Lasswade High School. Part of our curriculum offer includes courses that are within the SCQF suite of qualifications.  You can find out more about these types of qualifications here.  We have an active SCQF ambassador student team working in school and have already achieved the Bronze award which reflects the range of courses on offer.  You can find out more about the School Ambassador Programme here.
